About Everett Gates
Pastor Everett received his bachelor’s degree from the
University of Tennessee
at Chattanooga. He is a multi-talented singer, music
director and author, but he is not limited to that realm.
His dedication to his call has led him into both national and
international settings such as singing with world renowned singer Babbie Mason’s
television show “Babbie’s House,” TBN, Atlanta Love, U.S. Military Facilities in Japan and Germany, as well as churches and concert
halls worldwide. His gifts are an
expression of God’s gracious love and are portrayed in a ministry of excellence.
Pastor Everett and his family moved to the central Florida area in 2005 from Atlanta,
Georgia, after serving in ministry
for more than 19 years at New
Birth Church,
where Bishop Eddie L. Long is the Senior Pastor and Trinity Chapel Church of
God, where Bishop Jim Bolin is the Senior Pastor.
In 2005, Everett
was call to serve as the Executive Pastor at Celebration of Praise. He oversees the day-to-day operation
of the church, leads, supervise and minister to the entire Celebration of Praise
staff under the supervision of the Senior Pastor. His main focus is working with
the leadership team to implement the vision of the Senior Pastor. In addition to
overseeing the staff, he sets agendas for and directs staff meetings, retreats
and most leadership meetings, in the Senior Pastors absence.
As the Music and Worship Pastor, Everett is responsible for leading and directing the
Worship Team, Choir and Musicians and ensures that a level of quality,
excellence and anointing is maintained. The Music Ministry is one of many
dimensions. He primarily focuses on lifting up the name of Jesus, inspire
worship and praise, lead God's army into a victorious battle, lead God's people
into the Holy of Holies and be a testimony of God's amazing grace.
In addition to serving as the Executive and Worship Pastor, Everett and
his wife, Kateena, serve as the Marriage Ministry Directors at Celebration of
Praise. In this role, they both share personal experiences as well as touch on
issues that every married couple can relate to. In Matthew 6:21, Jesus reveals a
powerful principle for marriage. Your greatest treasures in life can be found
wherever you invest your time, attention and resources. Whether you want to
improve a good marriage or rebuild a troubled marriage, Everett says that this Marriage
Ministry gives you the tools you need to find the closeness you desire.
He and his wife, Kateena, are the proud parents of Alexis Michelle, Kendra
Ellysse and Everett Emmanuel.
